Concept

Ferrum Films approached this project as more than an interview, it was a chance to document an authentic cultural moment. The goal was to capture the energy of collaboration and the deeper conversations around immigration, music and shared heritage that made “Safe” more than just a song.

Production

Filmed in a restaurant setting, the shoot began with Michaël Brun meeting John Legend in person, setting the tone for a candid, grounded conversation. The team focused on natural lighting and minimal staging to let the discussion unfold organically while maintaining a polished, professional finish.

Release

This project marked a milestone collaboration between Ferrum Films, Capitol Records and global artists. Beyond the music, it served as a meaningful cultural piece, sparking conversation and connection through storytelling at the intersection of sound and identity.
